There are many ways at AUMC for children to grow spiritually. Each Sunday, our children (age 3 years-5th grade) are invited to children's church during service. At children's church, we will listen to a scripture message, eat a snack, and play games. Children will be brought back upstairs at the conclusion of the church service. Children younger than 3 are also invited to stay in our nursery downstairs during service. Parents will need to pick up their children from the nursery after service has concluded.
At 11:00, we will have Sunday school classes that are broken apart by age and grade. Our preschool class is for children that are 3 years old and until they start kindergarten. Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade will attend our early elementary class. Children from 3rd grade through 5th grade will attend our. elementary class. All classes use the Deep Blue curriculum.
We hope to resume soon! We also have Kid's Club (ages 3 years and potty trained-3rd grade) and Joy Club (4th grade-6th grade) each Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:00-7:30. Dinner is served at 6:00 and class begins at 6:30. We use a combination of various curriculum to teach His message during this time. Each December, our clubs also practice for a Christmas performance for our families.
Throughout the year, we will host an Easter breakfast, VBS, and a harvest party that are all geared toward children. Every event is a fun time for children and families.
